Mr. Hurley joined the Authority in 1999 as a Financial Analyst and since joining the Authority has held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility.
As MARTA's CFO, Mr. Hurley is responsible for overseeing MARTA's Revenue collection and fare media, Cash management, Debt service, Capital financing, Financial reporting, Payroll and Payables, the development of Operating and Capital Budgets, Purchasing and Materials Management, and Parking Services.
He is responsible for the strategic direction and daily management of the Department of Finance. He chairs the Non-Represented Defined Contribution pension committee and is on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Association of Public Pension Trustees. Immediately prior to joining the Authority, Mr. Hurley held a senior analyst position with The Boeing Company and was selected to participate in The Boeing Company Leadership Development Program. His previous experience was in the United States Air Force where Mr. Hurley was a Comptroller, Finance Officer, Cost Analysis Branch Chief, and Flight Commander.
Mr. Hurley holds a BBA degree in Finance from the University of Georgia, an MBA from University of Phoenix, and is a Certified Public Pension Trustee.
